Week 2: July 13-19, 2022

7/13-15 DAY 7, 8, and 9

    The rest of the week we were mostly focused on camp. Most of the time I’m not really assigned to one particular camp so I spend my time moving between the two to assist in whatever I can. When I’m with the cooking camp I usually stay with a group of kids and help them in making their food. Whenever we're waiting for the food to cook I’ll go to the back kitchen and start washing all the dishes that have been used so that clean up at the end won’t be too lengthy. Another task is going to swap with some of the staff in charge of the camps to give them a lunch break. During this hour were responsible for watching over the kids and keeping them entertained.

7/18-19 DAY 10 and 11 

    I’ve really enjoyed my time here at the Witte! I got to talk and work with so many wonderful people. This week I got to talk to Ms. Pamela and we had discussed there being an open part-time position here at the museum! If I were to take it up I would be working on the floor rather than with public programs. I was told that in the mean time I would still be able to volunteer and help out in my current department. This would be pretty cool cause I still need to earn service hours for college. I excited to see what the future holds :)

  Hello everyone, I hope y'all are doing well.  The first week of my internship at the International Museum of Art & Science was very informative and eventful. I was given a more in depth tour of the four museum galleries as well as the front learning rooms and what the focus of each room was, for example the Biozone which encourages STEM learning and environmental consciousness.   Week #4 - Internship Journal Blog Museum of History, Anthropology and Art of the University of Puerto Rico by Rodolfo Enrique López-Gutiérrez/YAP 2022 This week was the most eventful week of my internship at the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras campus. It was the week of orientations for the freshman students. New students would receive an orientation through campus, then they would visit the main building where there were several information booths with staff members to help and orientate students about all the locations and resources of information. The Museum had a booth at the activity. Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose - Week 1

 Howdy y'all!  The internships are normally conducted for a month in July, but due to family reasons I did my internship for 2 weeks in August at the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose in San Jose, California.  I arrived in California on August 2 after a long, miserable night early morning from Chicago, heading straight to my place I was staying, ready for the next morning - starting with a 1.5 hour commute by the San Jose VTA Light Rail to the Children's Museum. Arriving at the museum was no problem, as the museum has its own light rail stop, not to mention being a giant purple building.
